Lyubertsy offers a variety of reasons to visit: park paths and flower gardens, distinctive church architecture, insights into the town’s history, and theatre and leisure activities. To plan your visit, you can choose a focus: would you like to spend time in parks, learn about the town’s history, or include cultural activities? Each place has its own character and offers ideas for shaping a stay around your interests.

Parks and Local History

Lyubertsy Central Park of Culture and Recreation has flower gardens and paths. In summer, recurring cultural and leisure programmes add to what it offers. Gardening features and seasonal activities sit side by side. Check specific dates before your visit.

Natashinsky Park has a different focus: this recreation area has two bodies of water. The settlement of Natashino grew up around the park; its name comes from the daughter of entrepreneur Evgeny Skalsky. The park is therefore linked to its own local history, while the bodies of water define its distinctive character.

Architecture and Collections

The Church of the Transfiguration has a tall, plain structure with a drum topped by a Russian helmet-shaped dome. The dome provides a clear architectural focal point. Visitors interested in church architecture will find a specific feature here, distinct from Lyubertsy’s park and collection themes.

The exhibition “Lyubertsy: Near and Far” tells the four-hundred-year history of the town. It displays ethnographic and archaeological materials, as well as furniture, jewellery and clothing from different periods. In this way, it combines a broad historical perspective with a variety of object types.

The “Lyuberetsky Hermitage” collection comprises more than 300 rare objects dating from the 16th to the 20th century. These include furniture and furnishings, clothing and textiles, photographs and works of art associated with Napoleon Bonaparte, Madame de Pompadour, Gustave Flaubert and French kings. The collection thus offers a different approach from the exhibition on the town’s history: the focus is on a wide range of objects and their historical connections.

Theatre and Hands-on Activities

Raduga Puppet Theatre was founded in 2000 and performs, among other places, at 8 Shosseynaya Street in Lyubertsy. Children aged seven and over can take part in the “Deti papy Karlo” workshop. There, participants develop stories, write fairy tales, create theatre puppets and sets, and stage performances in which they take part. The focus is not just on watching: writing, creating and performing are all part of the experience.

The Kosmopolis Family Centre offers a Ninja obstacle course, nine bowling lanes, games and simulators, laser tag, a play maze designed as a spaceship, quests and a 5D cinema. Unlike the theatre workshop, it brings together a range of games and entertainment. Activities and availability may change, so check the current offerings before your visit.

Choose Accommodation Based on Your Plans

When choosing a hotel in Lyubertsy, you can first consider what you would like to focus on during your stay: parks, architecture and local history, or theatre and leisure activities. Then use these priorities to assess the location of a particular hotel in light of your own plans.
